Meet the 2026 TNBA Board!
Stéphanie Read, President
Stéphanie is a regenerative farmer who blends permaculture and ecological principles to create pollinator sanctuaries rooted in native plant systems that provide reliable forage for honey bees .For the past four years, she has practiced natural, treatment-free beekeeping, guided by the belief that resilient bees begin with healthy ecosystems.
With a background in business development in the tech sector, Stéphanie brings strong skills in networking, education, and collaboration to her work in pollinator health and community building. She now offers Top Bar nucs with locally adapted treatment-free survivor stock, native planting consultations, and one-to-one or small group beekeeping mentorships.
She coordinates our Beekeeping Youth Scholarship Program and also serves in a leadership role with a local nonprofit supporting veterans and first responders. A member of TNBA since 2022, she previously served as Vice President and is honored to step into the role of President for 2026, committed to supporting the organization’s mission and its beekeeping community.
Cara COLLIER, Vice President
Cara has deep roots in the Texas Hill Country and resides near Buda with her husband, their 13-year-old daughter, and their two energetic Parsons Russell Terriers, Bratwurst and Cookie. In 2024, she became a beekeeper after completing an apprenticeship with Bee Mindful and receiving support from her local beekeeping community. She now manages a growing apiary with Top Bar hives.
With over 14 years of experience in real estate, Cara A. Collier is a trusted REALTOR® serving the vibrant Austin market and the scenic Texas Hill Country. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, she blends her passion for culture, community, and real estate to deliver a truly personalized experience for her clients. Her strong local connections are highlighted by her feature in the Faces of Texas coffee table book. Cara also specializes in the Texas wine scene, bringing insider knowledge of wineries and vineyards through her Diploma Level 4 studies with The Wine & Spirits Education Trust of London.
